They fit between standard 2" x 4"-16" center framing with 1/2" sheetrock or other material 1/2" thick or more.

STEP 1 The use of a stud finder will help you if you are not sure of the layout of your walls.
STEP 2 Once you have determined the spot on the wall you want the nicho in, level the horizontal shelf line. Place the template between studs and draw the outline of the hole to be cut out.
STEP 3 Cut the hole with a utility knife or keyhole saw. !!!CAUTION!!! When cutting sheetrock with a keyhole saw or router, there may be electrical wiring in the wall.
STEP 4 Once your hole is cut, place the unit in the hole to check for fit, trim if needed. Wipe affected area of dust, or other particles. Apply liquid nail adhesive to the back lip of nicho and place in the wall cutout, press firmly against the wall. You may have to hold in place for a few minutes.
STEP 5 After it sets, caulk around nicho with paintable caulk. If you wish to paint or texture, you may now do so. WARNING Product is made of ABS material and will melt or ignite at high temperatures. DO NOT use nails or screws. They are not required with proper adhesive.
